Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov, Azerbaijan's Minister of Defense, led a delegation on an official visit to Turkey, where they visited the National Defense University.
Minister Hasanov reviewed an honour guard and signed the university's guestbook. Professor Erhan Afyoncu, Rector of the National Defense University, welcomed the delegation and provided a detailed explanation of the university's history, educational system, and teaching process.
Colonel-General Hasanov stressed the significance of cooperation and mutual exchange of expertise in military education between Azerbaijan and Turkey. Delegations from both sides participated in a meeting that focused on expanding collaborative efforts in military education and addressing various topics of mutual interest.
Minister Hasanov also met with Azerbaijani military personnel studying at institutions affiliated with the National Defense University. He inquired about their level of training and offered valuable recommendations.
Hasanov elaborated on the ongoing reforms to build Azerbaijan's army. He highlighted the implementation of the Turkish Armed Forces model within the Azerbaijani military.
Besides, the Minister expressed his confidence that the Azerbaijani cadets would develop into highly qualified personnel meeting the demands of the modern era. He emphasized their role in applying their acquired knowledge and experience to further strengthen the Azerbaijani Army upon their return home.
